Plan the house as one connected project.

A whole-home renovation ties rooms, systems, structure, finishes and occupied-home logistics together. WNC Built develops one scope so early decisions in one part of the house do not create problems elsewhere.

Scope

Start by defining the level of work.

Targeted whole-home work

Renovate selected rooms and systems with limited structural change.

Full-house renovation

Coordinate most rooms, several systems, layout work and finish decisions as one project.

Structural and custom work

Combine extensive structural changes, system replacement and higher-spec finishes.

What the planning conversation covers

  • Existing-condition and scope review
  • Room-to-room layout coordination
  • Mechanical, electrical and plumbing planning
  • Structural and permit coordination
  • Selections and procurement sequencing
  • Phasing and occupied-home planning

Questions worth settling early

  • Which rooms and systems are in scope?
  • Will the home be occupied during construction?
  • Are drawings or engineering needed?
  • Which decisions affect several rooms?
  • What must be complete before work starts?

Current planning range

The July 2026 planning model uses $150 to $400 per renovated square foot, divided into targeted, full-house and custom or structural scopes.

This is a planning range, not a quote. A project-specific scope, site review, selections, drawings and current trade pricing are required before construction pricing is firm.

Common questions

Before design and pricing.

Can a whole-home renovation happen in phases?

Sometimes. Phasing works best when structural and system decisions are planned for the complete house before the first construction phase starts.

Does square footage determine the final price?

No. Square footage is useful for an early range. Room mix, structure, systems, selections, access and hidden conditions determine the project-specific scope.

How are project decisions tracked?

After contract, WNC Built keeps scope, schedule, estimates, invoices, approvals, updates and project records in one secure client workspace.
